Evaluating Sources

When you are using online material, you need to determine credibility.  Is the online source trustworthy and credible?

Evaluate all of the references before you use them on your essays or any type of document you are creating.  Use the following criteria to evaluate online sources and access their credibility:

 

 

 

One of the first things you should determine is the Authorship of the source.

Author -- Here you have to ask yourself what is the author trying to accomplish?

When you are evaluating on-line sources ask yourself:

Author -- Who is the author?  Do I recognize the name?  Have I read his work before.
