Activity 2
You will follow the APA format for your reference page. (Note: This will be titled References instead of Works Cited.)
Follow these rules:
1. entries should be in alphabetical order
2. use this format for articles from database:
Last name, First initial. (Year of Publication). "Title of Article." Title of Journal/Magazine Volume.Issue, page numbers.
3. use this format for the web site:
Last name, First initial. (Year of Publication). "Title of the page." Title of the site. Retrieved from http://www.finish adress here on retrieval date.
In-text Citations (also known as parenthetical citations)
Use in-text citations after any piece of information which you used from one of the articles.
If you paraphrase (put the information in your own words), add the citation.
If you quote (take information directly from the article), add the citation.
For in-text citations, use the following format:
1. (last name, year).
2. the in-text citation should be placed at the end of the sentence. For example,
One of the first examples of usability done on a web site was done in 1990 (Jones, 1995).
3. If you include the name of the author in the sentence, put the date after the name: for example
Jones (1995) provides an example...
