Materials and Technology Requirements
Textbook: We will be using the Technical Writing Online located http://www.io.com/~hcexres/textbook/.
I will be providing readings online and requiring you to research and submit the materials which you find. Therefore, it is important that you are able to access the library resources from your college. Please make arrangements to find the necessary information you need in order to access. We will begin using research materials starting with the first unit during the second week of class.
Wordprocessing: I will be using Microsoft Word to comment on your essays; therefore, it is important that you have this available to write your essays.
MyLearning2: You will be using MyLearning (powered by Blackboard) to access this course. Please contact the Distance Education Deptartment if you have any questions about how to do this.
Email: Email will be a very important method of communication. I will be contacting you via MyLearning tools exclusively. If MyLearning is unavailable, I will be using the email which you provided during registration. Using external email will a my last resort.
PDF Reader: Many of the articles that I provide for you will be in PDF format. If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you can download it for free here.
Windows Media Player : The instructional videos which I provide for you can be viewed using Windows Media Player or Quicktime. If you do not have either of these programs installed, you can download them for free at these websites:
